Frequently asked questions
Does it work on a scanned statement or any PDF?
Only on statements with a real text layer — the kind your bank generates directly, not a scanned image. There is no OCR, so a scanned or photographed statement is not supported.
Does it upload my statement anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and its table extracted entirely in your browser. The only network call is the licence check against Gumroad when you activate a Pro key, at most once a day.
How does the licence key work?
Gumroad emails you a key right after payment. Paste it in the extension's options page: it is checked once online, then stored locally, and the extension keeps working offline. Up to 5 machines, no expiry, no subscription.
What if the detected columns are wrong?
The table is editable before export: fix any cell and pick which column is the date, description, debit, credit or balance. Pro remembers that mapping per bank so you only correct it once.
What if I only convert one statement occasionally?
Then the free version is enough: detect the table, correct it, export to CSV. No time limit.
